One of the wonderful things that exist today is the introduction of new ways to pay bills. There are now various bill settlement or bills payment programs such as authorized payment centers, online payments and even more exciting for me and my wife is the ability to pay our bills through a single credit card transaction called auto bill settlement or auto bills payment programs.


Various credit card companies now offer auto bill settlement programs. You might want to inquire to your credit card provider if they support such service and which institutions they cover.

Applying for such service differ from company to company as some banks would require you to fill-up a form and submit through fax while some would be almost painless and only require you to call.  In addition to this, you may also have to give your credit card details, and some information on the institution that you'd like to pay to such as your subscriber account number. The approval process for the enrollment would typically take 2 to 4 weeks.

Easy Tracking of Bills - No more missed payments! Well... It still depends on you. If you're so stubborn and don't track your due date then you'll still miss your payment. The thing is you can simplify things... You can save time and do more important things with your extra time.

Single or Cashless Transactions - If you're also paying your credit card through online banking or issuing checks then you could make this a cashless transaction. If not, then you still get the benefit of doing only a single payment transaction.

Earn Rewards or Bonus Points - Most credit card companies give points to their loyal customers. You can use these points for free purchase or discounts depending on the terms set by your credit card provider. However, do not make this the sole reason why you would want to enroll to such services as you are sure to get into trouble later on. Like I'm demonstrating now, use your credit card sensibly and responsibly.
