The MLM Flaw - The Ultimate Danger In Multi Level Network Marketing

Perhaps most of us have heard about MLM or Multi Level Network Marketing. I think and I believe that most of today's organization related to this business are true and motivated towards their mission, whatever that is to them. It could be leverage, a stepping stone to a lot of people who want to become rich, if you work hard enough to pursue your goal.

But wait a minute, that brings up a good question. What is your goal? You're probably going to answer... To have a lot of money. But is that a goal? A reason? Or the result?

Is MLM Or Multi Level Network Marketing For You?

There is no denying that joining an MLM is an opportunity. I heard of some people who made it big, but I know none. The biggest flaw in joining this business, is if it's aligned with the goals you set for your self or your life. Is it something you can do, 5 or 10 years after you join and pay the necessary fees? If I wanted to own a restaurant, my own' restaurant for example... Would the people in this organization be able to help me achieve this dream?  It could be a direction leading to success, but might be a success I don't want to have.

Because I want to be a successful by providing value to people. If you can't convince yourself that this is really what you want, then there is a flaw "with you" joining an MLM... And that is, it is not aligned with the direction you're trying to set with your life.

So for those I've turned down many times... This is the ultimate reason why... I already know where I'm going... And I don't want my train to be de-railed. This is no different with accepting new jobs and opportunities, so be careful how you make your decisions.

For those who haven't tried listening to an MLM session or seminar, I suggest you take on the opportunity to listen to these people. They carry some lessons that you can't just find elsewhere. However... And this is a very important 'however'. Evaluate carefully whether what they offer is in-line with your goals. Not just your financial goals, but also your life goals and family goals. If not then walk away, carry the lessons you've learned and don't look back.

So I hope I've explained here that I'm not saying that MLM companies are scam, but the decision has to come for you and don't let others decide what you should be in life. And also, keep and open mind...

Most MLMs are scams, as soon as recruiting becomes more important than selling you are getting into the scam world.

LazyManandMoney has an amazing AMAZING series of posts on the topic.

Hi Evan, comment is well appreciated! Yes, I also believe in what you say. I think I've heard experts say that too on TV.

Hi Tim, I also think that MLM is not for me. It sucks to know that some people who already achieved the height of their success in MLM is very boastful and braggart. I had a conversation with one of them before and he is bragging that even without a proper education, he already bought two cars, etc.

I've joined around five already but none of them became successful. Anyway, my blog post about MLM is the most commented article on my blog. You can read it here if you want.

Hi Tyrone,

As with any other form of marketing or business, I think that the ones that got in first really has the edge in network marketing. The profit gets smaller and smaller as you go down further in the triangle/pyramid.

Now, the problem is that MLM's, I think... Have a very low barrier of entry, so a lot of people try them and a lot get lucky from the start but the late birds are a little unfortunate.

I'm happy for this people who make it big in MLM business... But I also feel sad for the majority who don't. I believe that while they were not officially lied to, a lot of them has been largely misled.

By the way, thanks for dropping by. I've read your article before and it was very informative.

It doesn't matter whether you joined 5 or more MLM companies. Its all about your desire and willingness to do things.

All I have to say is are you willing to overcome your flaw if ever you joined a MLM company or would you just accept that flaw and proceed onto your life. Everything starts with your decision.

To the person who said that MLMs are scams, try to look at this in your own reasoning. MLM nowadays are booming in the Philippines. If it were a scam then the government would have abolished every MLM in the Philippines by now. Try saying that to the most popular and advertised MLM in the Philippines, AVON.
